South Ayrshire Council needed to put together a thorough and comprehensive Invitation to Tender for the implementation of Oracle Payroll. Having received a strong recommendation for their professionalism by another Scottish local authority, we engaged e-Resolve to work with us on to scope and define our requirements for an Oracle Payroll solution along with its associated Pensions and Absence Management functionality, to be incorporated into our existing Oracle E-Business Suite solution.
e-Resolve’s approach to the project demonstrated their significant expertise in Oracle HCM, as well as a comprehensive understanding of Scottish local authority legislative requirements. They worked with us, ensuring our requirements were captured at the right level of detail by demonstrating the comprehensive functionality within Oracle HCM, explaining where it would be able to meet our needs and challenging us in certain areas of our requirements. They even helped us to identify areas of change for some of our existing processes and procedures as a prerequisite for the implementation.
In addition, e-Resolve made recommendations around realising the full benefits of our existing Oracle HR setup and usage, to include Self Service and online reporting, both through quick wins and longer term strategic changes. They further demonstrated their ‘value add’ approach by highlighting the internal resourcing implications of running Oracle HCM inclusive of Payroll, from the initial project through to day-to-day running after implementation.

We (Portsmouth City Council) had an urgent requirement to make significant changes to our multiple Employee Assignments setup in Oracle HCM, in time for the new financial year. As these impacted Absence payroll calculations, our Payslips (both Self Service and paper), and apportioning Employers NI for costing amongst others, we knew we needed in-depth Oracle HR and Payroll expertise to achieve our deadline. So, having used the consultancy skills of their Oracle HCM experts successfully in the past, we had no hesitation in utilising the services of e-Resolve to design and deliver the solution.
The project timescales were very tight and, despite some initial issues with our technology and access which we overcame together, e-Resolve, still managed to deliver on time and to budget.
At the same time, we encountered a resource issue with regards to our LGPS 2014 requirements and ongoing internal support for Oracle HCM. Once again, e-Resolve were able to assist by providing a highly qualified resource, meaning we were able to meet our obligations for LGPS 2014 and ensure continued support for our Oracle HCM solution.
We have been delighted with the quality, ethos and professional integrity of e-Resolve and so we would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone who requires Oracle HCM expertise.

As one of the largest London Bus operators, we regularly deal with additions to our rostered workforce, invariably bringing different terms and conditions to our existing ones.
